I’m a 26 year old Brooklyn resident, but I grew up on Long Island. I graduated from the University at Buffalo with a degree in Environmental Studies and have spent my time since then as a solar installer, doing sailing tours in the New York Harbor and in the Student Conservation Association. I’m passionate about environmentalism and taking my dog for walks in Prospect Park.
What about the residency are you most looking forward to?
I am most excited about spending time in the classroom and getting to know the students I'll be working with.
Did you have a teacher who made a lasting impression on you?
I admired my high school IB History of the Americas teacher, Dr. Smith. He made history and politics feel very real and interesting. I understood the context of these issues with him as a teacher. He had a great ability to communicate complicated topics and you could tell he worked hard at being the best teacher he could be. On top of that he was an avid endurance athlete.
