I’m from a small town in upstate New York where I began my education as a first-generation student. I earned my AA in Liberal Arts & Humanities from SUNY Adirondack, and I am about to earn my BA in English and Educational Studies from the University at Albany. I have had experience as a writer, a tutor, and a teaching assistant; each experience has further confirmed my love for English and education. I would like to share my immense gratitude for my mother and my little brother who annoyed and supported me as I pursued my goals, and who made me feel that I was always on the right path.
What about the residency are you most looking forward to?
I'm excited to learn from an experienced teacher!
Did you have a teacher who made a lasting impression on you?
Mrs. Winchester of Hartford CSD may not have known how important her personal library was to me, but it was a space where my love for learning and reading could grow. She always encouraged me to keep learning, and that meant a lot to an awkward and lonely kid. She gave me something to be excited about.
