Hi my name is Christina DiGiulian, I was born and raised in Washington, DC. I attended UMBC and obtained my BA in Biological Sciences with a focus on genetics. For the past four years I have worked in sales and briefly interned as an orthodontist assistant. After much introspection, I realized that I was following the wrong path and was not passionate about my job. That is when I decided to make a change and follow my aspiration of becoming a teacher. I am excited to get to learn and work alongside a great group of teachers.
What about the residency are you most looking forward to?
I am most excited to get to meet all the amazing teachers I will be learning from and working alongside and I am excited to meet all the students who help shape Equality Charter School.
Did you have a teacher who made a lasting impression on you?
My high school science teacher, Mark Wiley, was one of the best teachers I have ever had. Mark made learning enjoyable, he related science to everyday life and allowed students to discuss and share their thoughts and interests. Mark invested time in getting to know all of his students and their needs, he always had a bright smile on his face and made everyone feel welcome.
