Broome Street Academy Charter High School

At Broome Street Academy (BSA), we are more than a school – we are a community dedicated to fostering academic excellence, personal growth, and social responsibility. Located in the heart of SoHo, BSA provides a high-quality, tuition-free education to students in grades 9–12, with a strong commitment to serving young people who have experienced housing instability or are involved in the child welfare system. As a school built on the values of inclusivity and opportunity, we strive to create a nurturing environment where every student is empowered to achieve their full potential.

BSA’s innovative approach to education is centered on a rigorous, standards-based curriculum that prioritizes college and career readiness, social-emotional learning, and holistic student support. Through our partnership with The Door, a nationally recognized youth development organization, we offer comprehensive wraparound services, ensuring students have access to healthcare, counseling, career training, and other critical resources. Our strategic initiatives focus on equity-driven pedagogy, trauma-informed instruction, and individualized learning pathways, equipping students with the skills and resilience necessary for success in higher education and beyond. At BSA, we are committed to breaking down barriers to achievement and cultivating a future where every student thrives.
