I am a youth worker in the community and a San Francisco native. I have also lived in the East Bay. I studied International Relations at Mount Holyoke College and Criminal Justice at West Chester University. I enjoy going to drag shows, Sharks games, and eating out. I am a seasoned solo-traveler. And I am learning conversational Spanish. I strive to be a ladder-holder for my future students, and I am very excited to build upon youth-adult partnerships this upcoming school year and beyond.
What about the residency are you most looking forward to?
I am most looking forward to being in the classroom for the first-time, having a mentor teacher, and becoming part of the school community.
Did you have a teacher who made a lasting impression on you?
My eighth grade teacher really empowered me to speak my truth and advocate for what I was passionate about. He gave me freedom to express myself through artistic mediums and become a leader in my class. He was incredibly supportive but also expected me to be my best during such a formative time.
