About Me

I completed my undergraduate work at Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio. I majored in political science and minored in religion. I am a certified social studies teacher and have taught in both the middle school and high school. I grew up in Connecticut but since college have lived in various parts of the country. I enjoy cooking, reading and movies. I have two nieces who live in Seattle, WA.

What about the residency are you most looking forward to?

I am most looking forward to learning from the fellow members of this cohort.

Did you have a teacher who made a lasting impression on you?

Two teachers made a lasting impression. Dr. Schneider was my middle school history teacher. She was kind and she created an environment where her students felt valued. She was often available for us to seek advise. Mr. Moseley was my high school social studies teacher. I remember him having a great sense of humor an his use of project based learning and videos made classroom time very engaging.
