About Me

My name is Juliana, I graduated at a small college in the Bronx called Mount Saint Vincent. I majored in Sociology with a concentration in education and majored in International Studies and Political Science. In college, I volunteered tutoring others at numerous non-profits where my love for teaching started. I continued following my passion after college by getting my teacher assistant certification where I was able to land a job at Harlem Children’s Zone-Promise Academy II. I continue to follow my passion in the hopes of becoming a teacher making change to young students’ lives.

What about the residency are you most looking forward to?

I am looking forward to working along with professionals and experts in the educational field that can help me enhance my teaching skills; along with meeting all the students! Being able to work along with someone and have that one-on-one mentorship to guide me through such an intense experience brings me excitement. The guidance this program can provide can only help you in the long run, so I am excited to see where I end up in the year.
